Fall Sports

Soccer
Varsity Girls' and Boys’ Soccer teams compete in the fall. The Boys'
Varsity Soccer team captured the 2001 and 2006 CISAC League Championships.
The Boys' team also earned the 8th seed in the NEPSAC tournament in 2008.

Cross Country
For several years, a Coed Cross Country team has been competing in the CISAC Invitational as well as the CISAC Championships and NEPSTA Class 5 New England meet. Cross Country is a great way to increase cardiovascular endurance and develop team cohesion.

Volleyball
MacDuffie's Girls' Volleyball season will make the move from the winter season to the fall in 2009.  The team finished with their strongest record yet during last winter and look to build on this momentum as they compete against other CISAC and NEPSAC schools for the first time as a fall team.

Winter Sports

Basketball
MacDuffie offers both Girls’ and Boys’ Varsity Basketball during the winter season. These teams have been quite competitive, and we are proud of their achievements. In 2002, the Boys’ Varsity Basketball team brought home the CISAC League Championship trophy, while the Girls' team won the
2003 and 2007 CISAC League Championships.  The Girls' were also the 2009 NEPSAC Class D finalists.  We are looking forward to more successful seasons on the courts with many returning and new players.

Spring Sports

Tennis
In the spring, we offer Girls’ and Boys’ Varsity Tennis. In the past couple of years, these hardworking teams have had several successful seasons. Each team participates in singles and doubles play, and we are looking forward to another exciting season on the courts.

Lacrosse
Girls’ Lacrosse compete against rival schools in their divisions. This team has been very competitive and is continuing to grow in numbers.

Coed Ultimate Frisbee
Due to overwhelming student interest and demand, this team was first introduced in the spring of 2009. Participation numbers are large and each player has proven their strength and skills.  Look for this team to capitalize on the interest and success from their first season.

Intramural / Club Sports
If there is enough student interest, intramural or club sports may be established during the athletic seasons.  Student-organized, small-sided teams are given the opportunity to build on the skills learned in Physical
Education classes in a competitive after school environment.
