MacDuffie Voices

Lindsey, a sophomore, is not only an incredibly strong student with a wide-range of interests but she is also a driving force on a variety of MacDuffie athletic teams.

This is Lindsey’s second year at MacDuffie and she is already turning heads with her academic and athletic excellence.

She held the highest grade point average in 2007 and made the Maximum Honor Roll for the first quarter of this year. She has always been interested in science and her favorite class right now is Chemistry. Coming from a middle school with typical class sizes of twenty-five students or more, she appreciates MacDuffie’s small class size. “I really like the environment here,” Lindsey explains, “You can be friends with everyone at the school. Everyone knows each other. It’s really challenging but everyone is really supportive.”

Lindsey has shown natural leadership on our soccer and volleyball teams. Although there was no team captain in the 2008 Volleyball team, Lindsey led by example with her strong presence on the court. This season, she won MacDuffie’s Most Valuable Player (MVP) Award for Girls’ Varsity Volleyball. In the fall of 2007, Lindsey was selected as a WNEPSSA (Western New England Prep School Soccer Association) All-League player. She also received Honorable Mention in the CISAC (Connecticut Independent School Association Conference) All-League team.
