Senior Sophia Anastasio Earns Perfect Score on the National Latin Exam
Twelfth grader Sophia Anastasio was recently honored as one of only 917 Latin students to earn a perfect score on the National Latin Exam. A top student in her fifth year of Latin, Sophie also earned a perfect score in her sixth grade year, as she finishes a well framed career in Latin achievement. Her score on the Latin III/IV Poetry exam qualifies her to apply for a $1000 scholarship through the National Latin Exam program, and she will be honored with a hand lettered certificate as well as a gold medal and summa cum laude recognition at the Academic Convocation in early June. With over 149,000 participants in the United States and thirteen other countries, she is in very select company, and is certainly one of only a handful of students to have earned two perfect scores during the course of her studies. Congratulations Sophia!
