Math Team Scores Big!
In their first math meet of the year the MacDuffie Mathletes scored 87 points on their way to a resounding victory. The team outscored all other comers by 10 points or more and outscored perennial league favorite Deerfield Academy by 13 points. There are 21 teams in the Western Mass Math League. The MacDuffie team was led by rookie mathlete Brian Magnier who scored a perfect 18 out of 18.
Craig Wooley, Math Team Faculty Advisor, is justifiably proud of the team: "We're in the Small School Division, but some of the "small" schools can be ten times the size of MacDuffie! Last year's team came in second in the State Meet and outscored all but three of the Medium Schools." He is hoping this year's team can repeat their success.
