Second Annual Middle School Science Expo 2009
MacDuffie sixth and seventh graders proudly showed their work on March 26 at the Second Annual Middle School Science Expo 2009. Over 20 students participated in the fair, with projects on a wide range of topics. Here are some of the questions posed and researched!
- What kind of metal rusts the fastest in different percentages of salt?
- Is a video game such as Dance Dance Revolution as good as running or jogging?
- Is the humidity in India higher than in America and does the equator have anything to do with that?
- Does following through when throwing a ball really help it travel a farther distance?
Science teachers Hank Elliot, grade 7, and Greg Vennell, grade 6, congratulated students on their efforts.
"The projects are done completely independently," Hank informed parents and guests at the fair, "and the students worked very hard on their own to complete them." |
