Song Contest Entertains All During Winter Carnival

|
February marks the eagerly-awaited and much-loved tradition of the Song Contest during Winter Carnival at MacDuffie! The 12th grade was the hands-down winner, rocking it with their MacDuffie-infused “Bohemian Rhapsody” by Queen. The performance was topnotch, as were the costumes all donned to sing! Great job, seniors!
Second place went to the seventh grade, with their very cute and original performance, as well as creative lyrics to Jason Mraz’ “I’m Yours”; third place went to the sixth grade, for originality and outstanding performance – each of the eight students were mentioned by name in their song, with a shout-out for something each is known for – a nice personal touch – all to the tune of “Jingle Bells!” “Honorable Mention” went to 10th grade, for enthusiasm, creativity and originality, with their upbeat performance using balloons and paper airplanes to the Smash Mouth melody, “Hey Now, You’re a Rockstar!”
