Day students at MacDuffie:

• Hail from more than 30 towns and cities in Western Massachusetts and Northern Connecticut.
• Most often apply for entry in 6^th, 7^th, 8^th and 9^th grades, but also enroll in smaller numbers in 10^th and 11^th grades.
• Come from public, private and parochial schools of all varieties in surrounding towns and cities.
• Are from diverse ethnic, cultural, economic and racial backgrounds.
• Are looking for a more challenging academic environment and a respectful community.
• Are enthusiastic learners.
• Are athletes, artists, dancers, scientists, journalists, singers, mathematicians, historians, musicians, environmentalists, poets, community volunteers, actors, leaders, followers, and most of all, individuals.
